Admission Procedure for the session 2014-15 will start tentatively from June 6 2014.

Admission to 1st year UG Courses will be processed through our site viz, jaipuriacollegeadmission.com. There will be no manual sale, download, submission of forms.

The site can be visited tentatively 4th June, 2014 5 PM onwards for further information. The filling up of admission forms will be started by the 6th June 2014. The Merit List of all applicants for admission will be published by the college within 26th June 2014. Admissions will start within 30th June 2014.

How To Apply

Application Form will be available through online only for admission to the 1st year of B.A/B.Sc./B. Com. (Hons./General) courses

• On-line submission of forms starts from 10th June 2014.
• Log on to www.jaipuriacollegeadmission.com using Internet Explorer 8, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox 12 or above.
• A candidate may apply for any number of courses. List of the courses offered by the college is given under Courses Available.
• Before starting application you should keep a scanned copy of your 10+2 mark sheet (optional), your photograph (optional) and SC/ST/OBC/PC Certificate (compulsory) (as applicable) in JPG format ready.
• Register your 10+2 Board roll number, Date of Birth in (dd/mm/yy) format, and mobile number. Note this down, as you would require these to re-login to application form.
• After entering Personal Information, Academic Information, Board marks, you can select courses. Please be careful to select courses you are eligible for and making correct choice is entirely your responsibility and your form is liable to be cancelled for faulty or wrong choice and application fees will be forfeited.
• Before filling-up the admission form please go carefully through the Eligibility Criteria & Subject Combinations and admission regulations of University of Calcutta (CSR/54/09 dated 24/11/09. Select your preference from the list given. Write corresponding course name and choose desired Mandatory and General Subject combinations in the application form as per your requirement.
• However general subject combinations will be decided at the time of admission according to merit, subject to availability of seats.
• Candidates seeking admission under SC/ST/OBC/Differently disabled (Physically Challenged - PC)/Sports category is requested to check the Admission Rules & Regulations/Academic eligibility Criteria/Sports Criteria before application.
• After making course selection, you can check for correctness of marks and courses. After you make final selection, you cannot modify the form.
• Cost of each Application Form is Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred) only.
• Take printout of Bank Challan for each form from website, loose deposit challans from bank branches is not valid.
• Remit the Application Fee, Rs. 100.00 per form using the Bank Deposit/Challan Form, generated from website at designated bank branches as listed here.
• Unless the Application Fee is paid to the bank on or before 21 June , your form will not be considered for admission.
• The Form No. must be referred to any future reference.
• You can check form status after 1 day of submission of form.
• You can check fees deposit status after 3 days of submission of bank deposit.
• Unless the Application Fee is paid to the bank on or before the last date of submission of forms, your form will not be considered for admission.
• Please check the College website www.jaipuriacollegeadmission.com regularly for up-dates on admission.

N.B.

• Category wise, seats are divided between wb and other boards based on ratio of valid applications in that category
• Few seats in general courses have been kept blocked for vocational stream candidates as their form submission is done last.
• Sports quota seats will be announced in due course. Valid sports quota candidate list have been put up here.

• “Best 4” implies - Best 4 subjects in order of Marks.
• Reservation for S.C. and S.T. - Eligibility Criteria: Aggregate 40% [best 4] or Subject 40% (See the Criteria for SC/ST and Course available).
• Reservation for Physically Challenged (PC) - Eligibility Criteria: As per general criteria of the college (See the General Criteria and Course available).
• Sports Persons - The seats include 50 seats under Sports Quota in different discipline of Sports (See sports Criteria and Course available).
• For Morning [Girls]: B.A. General - Elective English as General Subject will be offered, if 50% in English at 10+2 level obtained.
• # Mathematics (Hons.) – Business Mathematics not considered.
• # Economics (Hons.) - Business Mathematics and Business Economics including Business Math (WBCHSE) will be considered if full marks of Mathematics paper are of 100 marks.
• # Chemistry (Hons.) – Pass marks is also required in Physics and Mathematics.
• Psychology [Hons] - B.A/ B.Sc will be awarded depending on the combination of General subject.

Morning Shift (for Girls)

Note:

• Only one Lab. based Subject will be offered as a General Subject Combination for B.A (Honours & General Students).
• Seats in General Subject -Food & Nutrition (50 Seats), Psychology ( 30 Seats ), Geography ( 20 Seats ) & Journalism (10 Seats) will be available according to Merit
• For Elective English as General Subject -50% in English in HS/ ISC/CBSE

Day Shift (for Co-ed)

Note:

• Journalism [Jour], Geography [Geo], Psychology [Psy], Statistics [Stat], Computer Science [Comp.Sc], and other subjects as a general subjects will be offered on the basis of Merit, if required]
  Psychology, Food and Nutrition and Education will be offered as a general subjects only to Girls students and classes may be held in the Morning Shift.
• Only one Lab. based Subject will be offered as a General Subject Combination for B.A (Honours & General Students).

B.Com

• Reservation for S.C., S.T. and physically challenged candidates in each subject will be as per university and government rules.
• Reserved Quota: SC - 22%, ST - 6%, PC - 3% of total seats. Reservation of SC & ST in admission to educational institutions
• Eligibility Criteria for S.C./S.T. candidates for Honours (having original caste certificate from the competent authority of the Govt. of West Bengal). a. For Honours course - Aggregate 40% [best 4] or 40% in subject or allied subject. For General course – candidates must be passed at 10+2 level. b. Candidates must carry 'Passed' marksheet of 10+2 level.
• The Scheduled Caste/Tribe candidates are entitled to take concessions/benefits admissible to them from the State of their Origin and not from the State, where they might have migrated to (vide Ministry of Home Affairs. Govt of India Notification no BC 16014/1/82-SC & BCD-I dated 6th August 1984 and D.O. No 12017/11/89-SCD (R. Cell), dated - 8/1/1990 ).
• So SC/ST candidates from states outside West Bengal are not entitled to any concession/benefit, and will be treated as candidates of general category.
• Before applying online, please be aware of these rules and you must possessed relevant S.C./S.T./ original certificates from the Authority. Guidelines on Issuance of SC/ST Certificates.
• The certificate being submitted by the candidate for claiming reservationunder SC/St/OBC/PC quota must have been issued by competent authority as specified above on a date prior to submission of actual online application. Certificate issued on a later date by any authority will not be acceptable at the time of admission.
• Important notice for SC/ST category candidates: Candidates who provided caste certificates from outside of West Bengal will be automatically converted in general category, so check merit/rank position in general category only. Candidates from West Bengal who have not submitted valid caste certificate from SDO/ADM/AJM etc must submit a declaration during admission, to the effect that, they will submit caste certificate issued from competent authority SDO/ADM/AJM etc within 2 months of admission/before university registration (whichever is earlier), failing which the admission maybe cancelled.
• Before starting application you should keep a scanned copy of your 10+2 mark sheet (optional), your photograph (optional) and SC/ST Certificate from SDO/ADM/AJM (compulsory) (as applicable) in JPG format ready.
• SC or ST candidates getting admission should have in the previous examination qualifying marks, which are not lower by more than 25% from the marks obtained by the last candidate of the General Category, however, in any case such a candidate obtaining marks lower than the marks as prescribed by the regulations of the university for admission to the relevant course will not be eligible for admission.

• Reservation for physically challenged (PC) candidates in each subject will be as per university and government rules.
• Reserved Quota: PC – 3% of total seats of total seats of each course/ subject. Candidate must possess relevant PC original certificate.
• Eligibility Criteria: As per general criteria for admission of the college (see course available criteria).
• Candidate must carry passed mark sheet of 10+2 level.
• Before starting application you should keep a scanned copy of your 10+2 mark sheet (optional), your photograph (optional) and PC Certificate (compulsory) (as applicable) in JPG format ready.
• Before filling-up the admission form please go carefully through the Eligibility Criteria, Subject Combinations and admission regulations of University of Calcutta (CSR/54/09 dated 24/11/09).

• Reservation for OBC candidates in each subject will be as per university and government rules.
• However, OBC persons falling under ‘Creamy Layer’ are excluded from the provision of reservation.
• Reserved Quota: OBC-A - 10%, OBC-B - 7%
• The OBC candidates are entitled to take concessions/benefits admissible to them from the State of their Origin and not from the State, where they might have migrated to
• So OBC candidates from states outside West Bengal are not entitled to any concession/benefit, and will be treated as candidates of general category.

• After online submission, a printout of the form, along with bank deposit challan, relevant academic and sports certificates must be submitted to Sports Department of Jaipuria College. Last date of submission of attested photo copy(s) of Certificates of Sports discipline: 20th June, 2014. The Sports Department will remain open all working days: Mon - Fri between 12 noon to 4 pm.
• Academic Criteria in Sports category for B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com. Honours Courses in any subject: Minimum 50% in aggregate (10+2) [best 4] or equivalent and 45% in subject OR allied subjects at the previous qualifying examination.
• B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com. General Course – for W.B. Council & C.B.S.E. Minimum 35% [best 4] and for I.S.C. Minimum 40% in aggregate [best 4].
• Candidate must carry 'Passed' marksheet at 10+2 level.
• Sportspersons belonging to following discipline are eligible for admission – Football, Cricket, Swimming, Water Polo, Diving, Athletics, Hockey, Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, Archery, Boxing, Kabadi, Kho kho, Table Tennis, Badminton, Chess, Gymnastics, Rowing and Wrestling.
• Candidates having minimum National Level credit may apply for Honours courses. 1st Division club footballer may also apply for Honours courses.
• Candidates having minimum State level credit or 1st division club level player, may apply for General courses.
• Total 50 seats are reserved under sports quota in different disciplines of sports.
